Bible Verse: Jesus answered, “I assure you that everyone who sins is a slave to sin. A slave isn’t a permanent member of the household, but a son is. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you really will be free.  John 8:34-36

Reflection: As I think about the words Jesus spoke here....Slave to Sin, I shutter to think of what today's culture has led us to be a Slave to....perhaps Social Media, seeking what we do not have or justifing "wants as needs?"  Are we sinning by being a slave to these "behaviors?"  I, for one, often need to be reminded that I desire to be a permanent member of God's household...to feel the magnitude, forgiveness and humility of being set free!

Pray with me:  Oh Heavenly and Gracious Father, thank you for setting me free!  Forgive my lapses, as I continue to seek You first...to please only You and to be forever grateful for Your Grace.  Amen
