Bible Verse: “Be careful that you don’t practice your religion in front of people to draw their attention. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 6:1
Reflection: Lent is like going in for my annual physical. At this visit, the physician is not interested in what I am doing for others, but asks me, "how is it with your soul?" Much of my faith is practiced outwardly. But, God also cares for the inner person. As I begin these six weeks of Lent, how might I shift my attention into my inner life so that it might also flourish with God's help?
